Editing

Screenshot of CCTV shot.
Green Screening.
The editing process has been smooth so far. I have successfully cut and placed shots in the order I want and they seem to sync well. Although seeing some of the shots edited has made me want to cut some shots and redo them as they don't look very professional and could be filmed better.
The music I have used also is something being planned to be changed after some editing. In some places it seems to overly dramatic so I'm thinking about keeping it some places where it works well (towards the end) and changing to a new song in some places.
I have decided for the voice over at the start, I am going to use a 'text to speech' software to put over the top. The computer automated voice will sound good and emphasis the fall of England which is relevant for my piece. This idea was inspired to me by The Purge.

Filming - Day 2

Film Set in Field.
Today I filmed the second part of my trailer and it went well. I added in some new shots which were different from my storyboard. I have managed to sync the shots with the music I chose. The weather was wet and made the film footage look gloomy which is what I wanted. I managed to film shots 21, 23, 25 and 27 plus other I came up with there. I filmed shots of them running and cut a bit of the start to make it more linked with other shots that I put it with.
'CCTV' Set Up.
Earlier this day, I came up with a new shot where I made my own CCTV shot which will be briefly played during shot 1. I set up a camera in the top window of the building and got two actors (George and Tasha) to go outside and act as if George was kidnapping Tasha.
To make it seem more realistic as CCTV footage, I made it black and white and also made a picture of a date and 'Rec' and green screened it over the shot.
This took a few takes to get right as there were members of the public walking through the shot but eventually it was clear and it managed to go well. I had to use a different camera as it was a very spontaneous idea and didn't have my normal camera with me at the time.

Filming - Day 1

Shot 11 and 14 set up
Shot 9 prep
We filmed a lot of the first shots today and it went really well. Looking at some of the footage on the mac, I need to film one of the 3 second shots again as the camera was at a slight angle.
Gun Table
Shot 6 went really well, the 'surrounded by guns' was slightly altered as I decided to lay them all out on a table. Below are some photos of the filming day. I have also decided to make some other changes.  I changed it to Michael mainly in the gym and now have a few more 'work out' shots. I also added a few more shots into it.

Filming Eqipment

Camera - I have managed to use a Nikon D5100. I have seen shots from it before and the it films in good quality which is good for my trailer as I want to focus on facial expressions. It has a 18-55 mm lens of it and this will be useful, especially in shots 7, 21, 22.

Tripod - I have a Hama Tripod which taller than many other tripods. The tripod will allow me to keep the camera still so I can focus on certain points and it also wont shake. It will also be useful for shot 28 because it requires a pan.

Final Preperations

I bought some black spray paint and coated parts of the guns to make them look more realistic. I also sprayed parts of the light brown as it gave them a very used look which is what I wanted to achieve. I left part of the light that shows when you pull the trigger unpainted because it looks like real gunfire from the right angle on camera.

I also printed off a copy of the script I wrote and highlighted what shots I need to film on the day. This is really helpful as it allows me to organise my filming and also focus on certain shots.
