Film Trailer Research - Action/Thriller

I chose to analyse the trailer of the 2014 film, The Purge: Anarchy, mainly because the film contains similar elements that I am interested in using in my film trailer. One of the things I noticed about this trailer, is that a variety of shots such as close-up shots, are used to show the emotion the characters are feeling. Some examples of this are shown to the left.
Medium Close-Up
Low-Angle Shot
Another part of the trailer I like is that there are very short shots used, but a lot of them. The fast pace really emphasises the action of the film as the shots shown, especially in this trailer, really show what to expect from the film, without giving too much away.
Big Close-Up
Two Shot
Another aspect of the film which has inspired me for my film is the voice (female American) that announces the beginning of 'The Purge'. I think this really emphasises the thriller aspect because it's a rather calm voice announcing a very deadly event.
The music starts off rather intense which creates a build up of tension, it then changes to a harmony tune which makes it a very juxtaposed trailer.
