Film Trailer Research - Shadow Pico

The 'Shadow Pico' trailer is a montage of clips from a One Direction video. Although it's not a real trailer, it has used conventions of a real film trailer such as the voice over, the music and the way the clips are edited. In this post I will focus on sound and how it changes our view on the genre.
The first main instrument used in the music is a piano. It's low pitched which makes it seem dramatic and what we actually see in terms of clips makes it very limited as we cannot tell what's going on.
The voice over the top of the trailer is a classic trailer voice (a convention of film trailers making it appear more realistic) and helps add to the effect created to us, the viewers.
The next use of sound which is interesting, is the repeated use of 'shadow pico' being whispered after it's shouted by one of the 'characters' in the trailer. This, in a way, changes our view of the dramatic genre and we get the idea it could be a thriller or horror. Also, the use of high pitched 'screeching' after the whispers makes it seem like a thriller as it's a classic sound when it comes to horrors etc.]
A drum beat slowly emerges, getting louder and louder which makes it seem as if it's building up to something.
